Congratulations to you and happy birthday to your dear daughter, Dena!
I hear you! A little Disney vacay is just what
Doc McStuffins ordered! Sadly, at this time, the
theme parks and the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort are still
temporarily closed. Until further notice, that means that sales of
theme park tickets and
Vacation Package are suspended.
We were missing our laughing place so much recently that we went ahead with plans to
visit the Disneyland Resort. Though many nearby hotels remain closed, we were able to find a wonderful
Good Neighbor Hotel that offered
accommodations. They even had their pool open. Although we couldn't visit the theme parks, nearly all of the
Downtown Disney District was open. We enjoyed multiple visits over an extended weekend, including
shopping and
dining experiences that helped satisfy our appetite for some Disney magic.
During the
phased reopening of the Downtown Disney District, safety is a priority.
We witnessed first-hand how well Disney handles appropriate social distancing, safety and wellness checks, and other important protocols and procedures to keep both Guests and Cast Members safe. When the State of California gives the required approvals, I'm confident that the Disneyland Resort will be very well-prepared to let Guests
step into the magic of the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels again.
For the time being, hotel-only reservations are being accepted for the Disneyland Resort Hotels. So it may be worth considering having that in place already should the state government grant approval to open before your travel dates. Or, if you feel like visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth, the
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida has progressed a great deal through their
phased reopening.
Vacation Packages and theme park tickets are available, as are hotel resort stays. We have our vacation booked already. And we are getting very excited for a Fall visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
I hope this helps with some initial planning for your Disneyland Resort vacation, Dena. Should you have any more questions, we are happy to help with recommendations, tips, and more here at
planDisney.
