Hi DeLisa,
How fun that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World to celebrate your daughter's birthday! One of the first things I would do is to visit the
Special Offers page to monitor possible discounts. In fact, there is currently an offer for up to 30% off rooms that you may qualify for. Within the Disney resorts, there are
value resorts that are budget-friendly, but still filled with Disney magic. Booking one of these resorts will help you to keep your costs down. And by staying at a Disney resort, you can rely on Disney transportation instead of the costs of renting a car (if you don't have your own).
You may also want to include one of the
Disney Dining Plans if you book a package. We saved over $200 last summer when we used the standard dining plan, and I liked that since we had paid in advance we didn't have to worry about how much money we were spending while vacationing; it had already all been paid for. The above link takes you to the various options with the dining plans so you can explore what would be best for your family.
Also, the park tickets have many features that you can omit to keep the costs down. You can keep them budget-friendly by having them be just one park a day with no extra features.
I would encourage you to call Disney at 407-W-DISNEY to get a free price quote to see what a vacation package would cost. With the current discount offerings, I'm hopeful it will be a price that you are comfortable with. Also you may want to visit the website www.mousesavers.com, which is dedicated to saving money while visiting Disney parks.
Thank you for your question; please let us know if we can help again.
