My daughters birthday is in jan.. I would love to take her @ theat time.. but I don't know what the wheather will be like for the pools. Can some one please give me some adivce on when is a good time to go.

Everyone seems to have a different opinion about when the best time to visit Disney is, Tiffany.  But the good news is that lots of people think January is an excellent time to visit because (as long as you avoid the holiday rush) crowds are usually very manageable in January.  As far as it being warm enough to take a dip in the pool, that's relative.  I'm from Arizona and I wouldn't dream of getting in the water unless it's 80-85 degrees outside.  That said, a New Yorker like yourself who is more accustomed to cold weather might be fine in the pool in January.  The average high temps in January are around 72 degrees, but it could be much cooler than that or much warmer just depending upon when you visit.  Long story short, I wouldn't have any trouble recommending that you take your daughter to Disney in January.  Enjoy your celebratory trip!
