Our daughters 3rd bday is during our upcoming trip. I'm taking her to dinner at 1900 Park Fare for dinner w/Cinderella (her fav) but can't seem to find anything else 'special' to do with her. Considered BBB, just seems like a lot of $ when she's only 3!

    Hi John,

We recently celebrated my daughter's third birthday in Walt Disney World, and I can tell you that you are in for a magical experience! The excitement on my little girl's face when she met her favorite princesses was priceless. Make sure that the cast members at 1900 Park Fare know that you are celebrating her birthday. You can add this information to your online reservation or call 979-WDW-DINE to speak directly to a cast member.

We also toyed around with the idea of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but decided she was a little too young. Instead, she chose to have her face painted.  Our older children have never liked face painting, so we were a little hesitant, but she really wanted a "fairy face" and sat through the whole process (they're unbelievably quick) and waited patiently for the paint to dry.

At the Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom she can get a quick style with some added pixie dust for a lot less money and time than it would take at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It's a great introductory experience to help you decide if the full princess treatment is something that you might want to consider for your next vacation.

If you're heading to Downtown Disney, check out the Toy Shop. A lot of three year old girls love ponies, and they have an area where you can choose a pony and fill a box up with accessories specific to Walt Disney World. You can dress up your pony as Minnie Mouse or your favorite princess with the accessories available.

If you're staying at a  resort Disney Florist can deliver some great surprises right to your room. There are many options that are quite extravagant, but there are a few nice surprises like A Royal Welcome that are quite affordable.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation and Happy Birthday to your little princess!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
