Hey there, hi there Amanda! You're always welcome as can be at
planDisney, and we're so glad you're hEAR. We also appreciate your patience as we assist all Mouseketeers who are excited to
return to a land of magic.
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!
Beginning June 15th, the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort will be open to ALL Guests, regardless of residency. While you would be welcome to visit on the 15th, it looks like
the theme parks are no longer accepting reservations for that date. Keep checking the
availability calendar, as it's possible to catch a cancellation, but consider making alternate plans to celebrate your daughter's big day just in case.
Fortunately, you'll find plenty to mouseke-do outside of the theme parks.
A staycation at either
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel would be a great way to celebrate a birthday. My family and I enjoyed several Disney resort stays during the past year, and our kids kept busy splashing in the pools and exploring the resort grounds. Check out a list of
amenities and activities available at each hotel during the reopening period.
Also outside of the theme parks, the
Downtown Disney District offers unique and themed shopping and dining opportunities. If your daughter is an aspiring Jedi, a shopping spree at the
Star Wars™ Trading Post could be the perfect gift.
Dining reservations can be made in advance for table-service restaurants, so if a celebratory meal is appealing, book your preferred spot as soon as possible.
I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the Golden State, Amanda. Happy birthday to your daughter, and if there is anything else we can do to make future trips even more magical, come see us again.
