I have 2 daughters age 7 and 4, what character meal would you recommend and why? Also, is it worth doing the bibidi bobbidi salon and if so, which package?

    Hi Priti,

We've done plenty of character meals, and here are a couple of my daughters favorites:

    • 1900 Park Fare - Is located at the Grand Floridian.  We actually prefer this over the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall dining experience at Epcot.  Mostly because we prefer the all you can eat buffet over the pre-plated all you can eat meals.  The characters we've seen include Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland.
    • The Crystal Palace - Is located in the Magic Kingdom.  We usually do this every trip simply because we like having one of the first reservations of the day.  There is just something very amazing about that first stroll down Main Street before the park is officially open.  This is an all you can eat buffet featuring the characters from Winnie the Pooh.  They have a little parade that the kids can participate in.
    • Cinderella's Royal Table - Is located in the Magic Kingdom as well, actually it is IN Cinderella castle which makes it very popular with die-hard princess fans!  I've never eaten here, but from what I hear the food is good, the Princess experience is wonderful but it's the priciest character meal on property.
I totally recommend the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  My daughters enjoyed every moment of it.  We chose the least expensive package, the coach package (hair, makeup and sash, tiara, hair pin), and they were more than happy with all of the goodies and attention they received.  They were thrilled when they were given the makeup and extra gems from their session to take home.  They wore their sashes the entire day in the parks, and their hair stayed in perfect shape!
