Hi Sheila!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I love that you're going to cheer on your daughter-in-law! I know it will mean a lot to her.
My advice for you is to get on a runDisney bus at your resort that will take you to the starting area (Epcot parking lot). You will want to be on a bus by no later than 4:00 - 4:15 a.m. The buses will stop running for a couple of hours at 5 a.m. to allow for the start of the race.
Once you're at Epcot, you can take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you will then get on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom will be around mile 5.3 for the runners and it's my favorite place to see them on the course! No ticket is required for spectating inside the park that morning.
After she runs by in the Magic Kingdom, you will reverse your travel to get back to the Epcot parking lot where the finish is.
Be sure to sign up for Runner Tracking so you can follow her progress on the course. Generally, it becomes a available a few days before the race. You can find all of this information, and more, on the
Princess Half Marathon website. Just click on the tab "SPECTATORS".
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
