My daughter will be 11 yrs old, turning 12 yrs old on our trip to Disney World. She is a very picky eater. Can she order off the Children's menu? We will not be purchasing the Disney Dining Plan.

Hi Lynn!  Our daughters must be related!  My 12 year old daughter is also a picky eater so I feel your pain.  I often wish that Disney would implement a 'junior' or 'tween' category when it comes to the pricing of their dining and offerings.

Technically, according to the rules, our daughters should be ordering from the adult menu and paying the adult price.  However, I have often found that the cast members who wait on the tables are very flexible.  Our last vacation as a family was this past August and we were able to order my daughter a meal off the children's menu several times.

The exception would probably be the buffet meals since the offerings are pretty much the same for all.

You hinted that your daughter will be turning 12 while on your Disney vacation.  Happy Birthday to her!  Make sure you check out the birthday celebration page on disney.com!

    Have a great vacation!  Diane
