My daughter is 4 yrs old and we would like to spend one morning at Disney World. This is her first introduction to disney and I am sure we will back many more times but to get a little taste of what Disney is all about, what do you recommend us doing?THX

Hi Lisa! My suggestion for a first introduction to Walt Disney World would be to take your daughter for a day in the Magic Kingdom.  My grandson is four and although he loves everything in every park the Magic Kingdom is the first place I send families with children as there is so much to do and see in this park for that age level.

When you enter the park make sure you pick up a times guide which will be a piece of paper located with the maps.  On this guide you will see the times for the parades, entertainment and when and where there will be character meet and greets on that particular day.

Fantasyland is the younger children's favorite land in the park.  Peter Pan's ride is the most popular so yo might want to pick up fast passes when you arrive and return later with that option.  Its a Small World, Snow White, the carrousel, and Dumbo are just a few of the fun things you can do in this small area alone.

Depending on your daughters height and level of enjoyment of thrill type rides you can choose from other attractions throughout the park. My grandson loves the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland.  The Magic Carpets, Tiki Birds, and Swiss Family Treehouse round out this land.  There are two thrill type rides in Frontierland called Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain and both have height restrictions.  If you have time Tom Sawyers Island is fun.To round out my choice of attractions from the rest of the park I would include Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, and Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Check out the many dining locations and one of our favorites is the Launching Pad in Tomorrowland as the choices are many for the family in one location!
