Hello, Nellsy! I’m sending a big sunny hello your way.
A Disney cruise is a fantastic choice for a mother-daughter trip! Disney Cruise Line offers a
variety of activities designed to entertain Guests of all ages. From character meet-and-greets to Broadway-style shows, dance parties, and fun-filled excursions at each port of call, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Disney Cruise Line does not require an authorization form to travel with just one parent. During online check-in, there was a box that asked, “Is a parent or legal guardian of this minor sailing on this cruise?” If you answered yes, you're good to go. As your daughter’s parent, you can set sail with her worry-free.
When you reach the terminal, you’ll need to present your
citizenship documents one last night. United States citizens do not need a passport for closed-loop cruises, meaning your sailing starts and ends at the same U.S. port. You can present an original U.S. Passport OR an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate and government-issued photo ID. Keep in mind that Guests 16 years and older must also have a photo ID.
I recommend having your daughter visit
Vibe, the exclusive teen hangout, on the first night.
This will not only allow her to meet the counselors, who will share details about the exciting activities planned for the voyage, but also provide a fantastic opportunity to socialize with other teens and make plans together for the rest of the cruise.
After settling in, using the chat feature on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is a convenient way to keep in touch with your daughter throughout the voyage. If you have an iPhone, iMessage and WhatsApp also function on board, so there’s no excuse for not meeting up with Mom.
I hope you have a fantastic time creating unforgettable memories together aboard the Disney Fantasy! Say “hi” to Captain Mickey for me.
SEAS the adventure!
