My daughter is 12yrs and has an injury to her foot that requires her to use crutches and absolutley not put weight on that foot. What do you suggest? Knee scooter or wheelchair. She has used both in the past. We are staying st a Disney resort. Suggestions?

    Hi, Deidra!

I really think this is a topic for you to discuss with your physician.  Let your doctor know there is extensive walking and ask what will be best.   Plan ahead for plenty of breaks so your princess can rest her foot.

You may want to contact your resort to let them know of your daughter's medical condition to request a first floor room to avoid steps/elevators.  You might also request being close to transportation to save a few steps to the bus stop.

I hope your daughter is up and around soon!  Hopefully some magic and pixie dust in Walt Disney World will bring a smile to her face!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
