Hiya Samantha,
Welcome to planDisney. I can’t wait to tell my friend Olaf that we found you! Let me start by wishing your daughter a very happy early birthday. My daughter is turning three next month, and while I’m so excited, I’m also in complete disbelief. When did our babies get so big?!
The short answer to whether or not you need to buy your daughter a ticket is that it depends. If you booked a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package (which means you purchased your theme park tickets at the same time as your resort hotel), you would not need to buy your daughter a separate ticket. When you book vacation packages, your child’s age when they check in is used to determine their age for theme park tickets for the entire time you are staying in the resort hotel. Now, Samantha, if you didn’t book a Vacation Package and have a room-only reservation, this is not the case. WIth a room only reservation you will need to buy your daughter a theme park ticket for the day she turns three and beyond.
I hope this was helpful, Samantha. Before I let you go, you mentioned that
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is high on your wish list for your daughter’s birthday celebration, so I wanted to give you a quick tip. Those reservations tend to be very popular and go quickly, but as a Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you have a little perk that can help. Guests with linked resort reservations can make their reservations for dining and Enchanting Extras (like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique) for the
entire length of their stay (for up to 10 nights) when their reservation window first opens. So if you try to make your Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation for later in your trip, your chances will be much better than if you are trying for the first (or even second) vacation day! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
