Your child is not the only one you'll see that needs a stroller for some R & R. I've seen pre-teens squeeze into them in the parks! However, though, I wouldn't recommend you renting the single stroller. My son was tall for his age, and we got the double when he was 5. Also, the
single stroller is not recommended to hold more than 50 pounds.
The double stroller holds up to 100 pounds, and you'll find the sturdy plastic construction to give your daughter a secure ride. Best of all, you can put your packages and drinks on it--the REAL reason I didn't frown at the price tag. But seriously, at the end of a long day, I'd pay anything to help prevent a meltdown, and the double stroller is a good investment to help make sure that is avoided.
