    My daughter is going this week to be in a parade - she will be in the "Share a Dream Come True" pre-parade on Friday, May 22 - she is in a Color Guard/Marching Band. What will they actually be doing? Thanks, Moms - sorry for the late notice.

    Hi, Peggy,   How exciting for your daughter!   What a wonderful opportunity!

    While I can't guarantee you will have the same experience, I can tell you about my nieces adventures when her marching band played in the Magic Kingdom about a year ago.   Consult with your Band Director/Coordinator to confirm times and locations.

    The Band needed to meet at a designated area in the Magic Kingdom around 1:00 pm.   They gathered their instruments and changed into their uniforms.    Around 2:30, they began marching and headed down Main Street (Castle was in the background, made for great photos!)   Before the band approached, an announcement was made with the name of the school and their home city.    When my niece's school was there, they were one of two bands marching that day.   Following the bands, the Disney parade started a few minutes later.

    Wow, to hear your High School mentioned and get the chance to march down Main St. USA - how amazing is that!   I hope your daughter has a truly magical time!
