My daughter (9yo) and I have been to WDW about 4-5 times. This trip (October) she will be bringing a friend for the first time (also 9yo) Any suggestions on magical things they can do together, that I will also enjoy too? Any suggestions on discounts?

    Hi Lori,

You have had quite a few exciting adventures at the Walt Disney World  Resort!  Isn't it a wonderful place to share the magic with friends and family?

October has one of my favorite special events, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  On select nights, you can wear your favorite costumes and trick-or-treat throughout the Magic Kingdom.  There is even a special parade and fireworks show only available during this event.  Be sure to keep a look out for when the schedule is released.  Dates do sell out, so make sure to buy your tickets early.  I find the Disney Parks Blog is a great way to stay current with park announcements, such as this.

Another idea is to be pampered like princesses with a royal manicure at one of the Disney Senses Spas. My favorite is at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  You will relax like royalty as you enjoy your manicure and can even add on a little Disney flare with their signature designs package.  For the girls, they offer two wonderful children's manicure packages specially for kids and preteens, ages 4 - 12.

Have a wonderful vacation and please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
