Hi ,My daughter and I will be at WDW next month during Mothers Day.Do the parks do anything special for Moms? Also we want to eat at one of the restaurants but cant decide which one,do you think we can get in without reservations or is it usually crowded?

Hi there Janice! May I be the first to wish you an early Happy Mother's Day!

Typically, many of the Walt Disney World restaurants will have special menus for Mother's Day especially during brunch. To get an idea of last year's offerings, check out the unofficial website: www.allears.net. In the search box on the top right hand corner of the main page, type in "Mother's Day".

I would highly recommend making all of your advanced dining reservations online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE prior to leaving home no matter what time of the year you are traveling to Disney. The popularity of the dining plans as well as the periodic availability of special offers like free dining mean that some locations really do need to be booked at the 180 day window in order to secure a table.

Another suggestion I have is to consider making plans to enjoy the Garden View Tea Room with your daughter at some point during your vacation. The decadent Grand Floridian surroundings, delicious tea sandwiches and Victorian charm really make for a delightful mother-daughter experience! Mother's Day would be the perfect occasion to celebrate with high tea!

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your trip!
