My daughter wants to do the typhoon lagoon and also Epcot on her birthday, we have dinner reservations at Epcot also. Can we do both on our ticket?

    Hello Leda!

Welcome back to planDisney! Happy early birthday to your daughter! What a wonderful day you have planned to celebrate her! If I could wing it I would have all my birthdays at Walt Disney World Resort. A girl can dream.

I'm not sure which ticket you purchased but most likely you have the Magic Ticket which is either a 14-day or 7-day ticket. If that is the case, then these tickets include the Park Hopper option as well as access to the Disney Water Parks including Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. If this is not the ticket that you have then you will have to log into your My Disney Experience and scroll down till you see "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets." Then click on "Tickets, Passes and Memory Maker" to see your tickets. If you have Park Hopper it will say "with Park Hopper Option." If it says "14-Day Magic Ticket" or "7-day Magic Ticket" then you are also ready to park hop! If you do not see those options then you will have to reach out to the Disney Experts as you may have to upgrade your tickets.

Once you get your tickets set up or are assured you have the Park Hopper Option with Water Park access you can now begin your planning. Since the Water Parks do not need a Theme Park Reservation you do not want to worry about that but you will need to make one for EPCOT. From now until January 8, 2024, all guests visiting the four main Theme Parks will still have to make Theme Park Reservations for most tickets. Even if you don't enter EPCOT until later in the day you will still have to make a Theme Park Reservation. Make sure to get that done and then enjoy your day traveling between Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and EPCOT.

If you are traveling this summer, Walt Disney World Resort is providing direct bus transportation to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park from seven Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. They are:

    • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
    • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
    • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
    • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
    • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
    • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
    • Disney’s Pop Century Resort

All other Resort guests will have to take the bus from their Resort to Disney Springs and then transfer to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park from there.

Since you are celebrating a birthday I suggest adding on a Specialty Cake to your Dining Reservation at EPCOT. Just select it when you make your Dining Reservation. The Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake is a delicious dome cake that looks like a pair of Mickey ears. Remember the rule, everything tastes better when Mickey-shaped. I loved the chocolate cake when we celebrated my daughter's birthday and found it to be a delightful treat that I ate throughout my trip. The leftovers were just what I needed for a late-night treat or early-morning breakfast. This is a judgment-free zone, Leda. Enjoy the cake!

I hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter. Let us know if you have any more questions as we are glad to help!

    Happy Planning!
