Hi Benjamin! Welcome to planDisney!
While Walt Disney World is known for its theme parks, there are many things to explore beyond them. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is home to many unique activities, including
Horseback Riding. This experience has been circled on my must-do list for quite some time, although I'm waiting for my daughters to meet the criteria to ride as well.
After confirming this information with a Cast Member, this experience follows strict guidelines on both age and height. I know your daughter is right on the cusp of the age requirement to ride, so it may be a bit of a disappointment. You can always check with a Cast Member once you arrive onsite to confirm as well. Regardless, you can still visit
Tri-Circle-D Ranch to see the horses inside their stable. You can leisurely walk through and enjoy your time exploring around.
One activity that the entire family can participate in is
renting a pontoon boat from one of the marinas around the Walt Disney World Resort. You can cruise around Bay Lake or venture over to Seven Seas Lagoon to get a unique view of the Magic Kingdom. We're planning this experience for an upcoming trip and I can't wait to try it out again. The first time we left from Disney's Yacht Club Resort and sailed around Cresent Lake with spectacular views of the Disney's Boardwalk.
Benjamin, I hope you have a magical time during your stay! Stop back and
see us again at planDisney with any additional questions!
See ya real soon!
Greg
