My daughter wants to celebrate her Sweet 16 on a mother/daughter trip to Disney World. I wanted to surprise her with a Keys to the Kingdom tour. Will be there 4 days before her 16th birthday. Will they allow her on the tour since it is so close to her bday

Welcome to planDisney, Amanda! A birthday visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is on the horizon, and I know you'll have an amazing time celebrating your daughter's Sweet 16! Be sure to stop by the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel or Guest Relations at any theme park to request a complimentary Happy Birthday celebration button to commemorate the special occasion!

Amanda, Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park has an age restriction of 16 years old that is fully enforced and requires each guest on the tour to present a valid photo ID to verify age, so unfortunately, if your daughter does not meet the age requirement on the day of your visit, she will not be allowed to participate in the tour. I know this probably isn't what you were hoping to hear, but many other options in the Enchanting Extras Collection are available for guests under the age of 16 that might be a fun alternative for her birthday celebration. On my Disney bucket list is the Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Behind the Seeds Tour at EPCOT, and a Fireworks Cruise to view Happily Ever After from the Seven Seas Lagoon! You can also book a Capture Your Moment birthday photo session at your daughter's favorite theme park to mark her milestone celebration!

Amanda, my daughter turned 16 last year and I took her and her two best friends on a girls' trip where we spent a magical night at Magic Kingdom Park during a Disney After Hours event! They absolutely loved having free reign of the park, walking onto all the most popular attractions with little to no wait, and the complimentary ice cream, popcorn, and bottled beverages were a great perk to keep us fueled for fun all night long! If your dates align with the After Hours events for 2025, I'd recommend checking it out; my daughter says it was her favorite experience ever at Disney!

Amanda, I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy making magical memories with your daughter for her birthday celebration! Time spent with them is always precious, but as they grow up, Disney reminds us of the magic of their inner child and lets us enjoy that magic together! Enjoy every moment of your time together!

    Magic Awaits,
