My daughter wants to celebrate her 7th birthday at Animal Kingdom. We settled on Yak and Yeti as our celebration dinner. Since it is not owned by Disney, will they acknowledge it is her birthday? Don't expect freebies but do they sing a special song?

    Hi Amara!

I can't think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than at the Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have already made a reservation at the Yak & Yeti Restaurant, and you would like to plan ahead, you can give them a call, and they can place a note on your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday.  I would also suggest reminding them when you arrive for your dinner, just in case the note on your reservation gets lost in the hustle and bustle of the dinner rush.  You can also wait to let the host or server know when you arrive for your dinner.  They will get a group together to sing "Happy Birthday" and will even give your daughter a Disney birthday pin and birthday cupcake!  If you have a larger party, you can also make a reservation to have a separate area of the restaurant designated just for your group!

If you are looking for something more, you can have a scrumptious Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake delivered to you at the restaurant.  I've seen these cakes delivered as a surprise, and they never disappoint!  Of course, if you are looking to extend the birthday celebration past dinner, you may also be interested in an In-Room Celebration from Disney Floral & Gifts!  No matter what you choose, I'm sure she will never forget the magic of her Walt Disney World Resort birthday!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
