My daughter wants to have her 21st birthday the third week in May. Is staying at Disney World resort a good way to celebrate?

    Hi Theresa!

I think there is no better place in the world to celebrate a birthday than at Walt Disney World

I am going to give you my best tips and tricks for your daughter to have an amazing 21st birthday!

When you arrive, make sure to ask for a celebration button. A cast member will write her name and the birthday she's celebrating on it and she will enjoy hearing greetings of "happy birthday" all day long!

I recommend purchasing theme park tickets with the park hopper option so you can maximize your day. The perfect 21st birthday at Walt Disney World would start with breakfast at California Grill, enjoying a mimosa. Make sure to book all advanced dining reservations 60 days in advance.

After breakfast, take the monorail over to Disney's Magic Kingdom to go shopping on Main Street. Make sure to take a picture in front of Cinderella Castle.

For lunch, dine at Be Our Guest to celebrate like a princess in Beast's Castle. The food here is great and the wine is even better. Order a bottle of wine or champagne to celebrate. You can also order a birthday cake in advance by calling 407-827-2253.

After 2:00pm, park hop over to EPCOT and enjoy an evening of drinking around the World Showcase. My favorite drinks include the orange slush at Les Vins des Chefs de France in France, Apple Icewine in Canada, and Schöfferhofer Grapefruit in Germany. At the end of the night, exit EPCOT from the International Gateway and head over to the Boardwalk. She can dance the night away at Atlantic Dance Hall or listen to dueling pianos at Jellyrolls. These are both popular night spots in the area and require Guests to be 21 or older, so this will be a special treat!

You can also surprise your daughter by ordering her a gift basket from Disney Floral and Gifts and have it delivered to her room! I hope you have a magical vacation!

Please tell your daughter "happy birthday" from planDisney!
