My daughter and I will be visiting WDW in December 2016. My question is, we will be bringing a 3-month-old infant with us my granddaughter. Is there any form of babysitting at the resorts for the times we want to go to dinner at a Disney restaurant?

Hi Lori! I am also a grandmother and have taken my grandchildren at all ages on wonderful trips to Walt Disney World throughout the years.

Our newest little Disney angel will be heading there for the first time at 8 months old in the fall. We have two nights set up where we will be using a baby sitter while we head to Victoria and Alberts and Cirque De Soleil. Over the many years since my own children were infants we have used the great Kids Nite Out private sitting service. It is recommended by Disney and we have always been very pleased with the sitters who have come. They will ask what the age of the child or children are and will come prepared with activities for that age. Obviously a three month old will not require extra activities but they will select a sitter who is comfortable with an infant's needs.

They are not allowed to bathe children or take them swimming but they are allowed to take them for walks in the stroller if you choose that option. If that is something you would like to do then go to the front desk and get a dummy key for your room where they can get in and out but don't have charging privileges etc on the key.

Make sure you leave a cell phone number with the sitter and get their number as well so you can check to see how things are going throughout the evening. I am sure you will enjoy your special evenings out on your upcoming vacation!
