My daughter and I will be visiting Disneyland in early August. Our last visit was in June 2019. We are looking forward to all the food and snacks! What are some delicious vegetarian options for us? Any secret menu items? Thanks so much!

    Welcome back to planDisney, Jennifer!

It is exciting to hear that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort with your daughter this summer! I'm happy to recommend a few of my favorite vegetarian foods and snacks around the Disneyland Resort.

    In Disneyland Park:
    • I must begin with the famous dairy-free, Dole Whip--try it as a float! It is available via Mobile Order at the Tiki Juice Bar, right outside Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Interested in specialty flavors for your soft serve? Walk a few more steps to The Tropical Hideaway.
    • Also in Adventureland, I love the Outback Vegetable Skewer and Tiger Tail Breadstick at Bengal Barbecue.
    • Don't forget to visit the new Mickey's Toontown where you will find Café Daisy. I highly recommend the Spring Garden Wrap. It is a super yummy plant-based wrap that comes with a side of house-made chips!
    • Speaking of wraps, try the delicious Ronto-less Garden Wrap at Ronto Roasters! And while in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you must have the legendary Blue or Green milk available at the Milk Stand. And if you are looking for a bigger meal, check out the plant-based offerings at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.
    • For comfort food, I love the Jolly Holiday Combo at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. This is a grilled cheese sandwich that comes with a cup of tomato basil soup. I also enjoy the Cauliflower Tacos at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante. I also enjoy their Tostada Salad, ask Cast Members about making it vegetarian!
I am not sure if you will be visiting Disney California Adventure Park, but if you are...

    • Do not miss the Tacos Dorados de Papa at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. They are so good! And to wash it down, the Horchata Agua Fresca.
    • There's always something interesting to try at Paradise Garden Grill, and they are currently offering plant-based Impossible Chili Cheese Fries. Yum!
    At Downtown Disney District:

    • Try the new Beignets Expressed counter-service restaurant, where you can get beignets to-go. I recently tried their Original New Orleans Beignets and I will be back for more!
I hope you enjoy these recommendations, Jennifer. I also suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any news on summer food offerings. Hope to see you real soon!
