My daughter and i will be visiting Disney for the first time in a month and I want her to be able to eat with some of the characters, preferably a princess. Do I have to have a reservation for this? I was quoted $101.33, just can't afford that.

Hello and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Character Dining is very popular and yes, it can be expensive.  There are many guests who plan their vacations around the free dining promotions to make it more affordable for character dining.  (There is currently a free dining promotion available for most dates in September.)  There may be other ways you can save on your vacation which may free up money in one area of your budget so you can apply it to your dining budget.  Special Offers are posted on Disney's site which is a link I use often!  Reservations at any dining location is strongly encouraged as the more popular locations to become booked quickly.

If the dining does not work out, there are locations where you can meet the Disney Princesses and other characters.  You can obtain the latest schedule of character appearances at your resort when checking in or at Guest Relations in any theme park.  One place you can certainly meet the princesses is at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom.

    Have a magical vacation!
