My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and is running in the Princess Half Marathon. Her biggest concern is keeping her blood sugar up during the race. Will there be any kind of food or sugar drinks on the course?

    Hi, Mary!

How exciting your daughter will be participating in the Disney Princess Half Marathon! I hope her training has gone well and she is excited for this race fit for a princess.

Thank you so much for your question regarding her health concerns will running in this event. There will be nine beverages stations along the course offering both Dasani water and lemon-lime Powerade. In addition, there will be a food station at mile 8.7 offering Cliff Shot energy gels in both caffeinated and non-caffeinated varieties.

I hope these options will suffice in keeping her blood sugars stabilized while she runs. If you should have anymore questions regarding her participation in this event, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a magical day!
