Hello Moms! My daughter will be two weeks short of her 4th birthday when we visit in August. She is measuring 40 inches exactly. Do you think she is too young for Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours and Soarin?

    Hi Louise!

My daughter was 4.5 on our last trip to Disney World. She is usually a timid and shy little thing. But she got right on Big Thunder Mountain and Soarin'. Of course, she was afraid, but one of those this-is-so-scary-let's-do-it-again kinda things!

If I had to choose I'd say YES to Splash Mountain and Soarin' (unless she has a thing about heights or her feet dangling) and a MAYBE to Star Tours and Big Thunder Mountain. The thing about Big Thunder Mountain is that it's so open. My daughter was holding her ears because it was so loud and ended up almost sliding into the floorboard of the car! And of course, I haven't been on the new Star Tours yet, but I bet it will be even crazier than before!

If you have any concerns about her being afraid, I'd check out some videos or pictures online of the rides and watch them together. Then she can get prepared for what's coming!

    Have fun!
