    My daughter will be going in two weeks. She is not staying in property does she need a magic band?

    Hi Tawney! Welcome to planDisney!

    Your daughter has so much fun ahead of her as she plans a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I know that means a lot of work for you as the parent, too. It will be worth it when she returns home and tells you all the special stories and memories she made!

    MagicBands are my favorite Disney fashion accessory, but they are completely optional! Your daughter can use either a regular ticket (card) to enter the theme parks or she can use the Disney MagicMobile Service through the My Disney Experience mobile app to create a pass and enter the theme parks. If she decides that she wants to purchase a MagicBand when she arrives and sees the many different (and cute!) designs, she can add it to her My Disney Experience account where her Walt Disney World theme park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations are already linked and can then use her MagicBand to enter the theme parks instead.
