Hiya Julia!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your medication question. I completely understand how important it is to have a safe and reliable plan for your daughter’s medication while you’re enjoying your park day.
Let’s jump right into it! According to the
rules at Walt Disney World Resort, you are absolutely allowed to bring medication into the parks. Using smaller plastic containers is a great idea, especially since glass containers are generally not permitted (aside from small exceptions like baby food jars). Pre-measuring ahead of time can definitely make things easier during the day.
If your daughter’s medication needs to stay refrigerated, you can visit any
First Aid location in the parks. They’re able to store medications that require cooling while you’re out enjoying attractions, which is such a helpful option. You can also bring a small cooler with ice packs if that works better for you. Just keep in mind that loose ice and dry ice are not allowed.
Since you’ll be visiting at the end of May, you’re arriving at such a beautiful time! If you have a chance, I highly recommend stopping by EPCOT for the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. The topiaries are stunning. One of my favorites is the Minnie and Mickey display as you head toward World Showcase. It feels like stepping into a garden straight out of a Disney story.
Julia, I hope this helps ease your mind a bit and makes you feel more prepared for your trip. If you have any more questions, I’m always here to help.
See you real soon!
Christina
