If my daughter turns 3 years old 2 days after our visit does she need a ticket

Greetings, Carlotta, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're planning a really fun family trip. Your daughter is a great age to experience the magic of the parks.

If your daughter is still two years old during your Disneyland Resort vacation, she won't need a theme park ticket or park reservation. Tickets and park reservations are only required for ages three and older. If she turned three during your trip, for example, you'd need a ticket starting with her birthday, but that doesn't appear to be the case here.

Visiting the parks with little ones is so much fun, especially as you see the attractions, Characters, and entertainment through their eyes. I suggest making a list of things you really want to do, but leaving room so the itinerary isn't too jam-packed. Some of my best park memories have been when our family slowed down and let the kids lead the way. Mickey's Toontown is a great place for that, since there are a lot of interactive elements to discover.

Here are a few tips from one mom to another:

    • Take breaks to rest and snack. The Enchanted Tiki Room, it's a small world, the Disneyland Railroad, and Storytelling at Royal Theatre are great ways to slow down without putting a pause on fun.
    • Bring a stroller (as long as it meets the guidelines), or rent one. Having a stroller for your daughter to rest in while you walk from one area to another can help her save energy.
    • Stop by the Baby Care Center for toddler-size toilets, changing tables, and a vending machine with essentials available for purchase, like sunscreen and over-the-counter medicine.
    • Use the Disneyland mobile app to filter attractions by age, thrill level, and height. Mobile ordering food in the app saves time – my pasta-loving kids like Alien Pizza Planet.
    • Keep in mind that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is only for ages 3-12, and a park ticket is required, so your daughter won't be able to do that experience during this trip. However, the salon has a boutique where you can purchase a dress or accessory for her.
Carlotta, if you think of any other questions as you continue planning your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
