My daughter turns 2 on our trip to Orlando. We (my husband and I) would like to take her out for a special birthday meal somewhere in Downtown Disney. Please advise on the best formal, but child-friendly restaurants. Thank you

Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is such a wonderful treat. Downtown Disney has so many wonderful dining options to fit your needs. The Wolfgang Puck Cafe' is a great place to have a high quality casual meal in a child friendly environment. Signature dishes  include vegetarian dishes, wood-fired gourmet pizzas, hand-tossed salads, piquant pastas, savory sandwiches and decadent desserts. If you want even more formal setting then try out Wolfgang Puck Café – The Dining Room, which offers a chic setting with more straightforward, though also very fresh, menu selections. Open nightly from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., The Dining Room is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, enjoy an intimate date night or simply savor sumptuous cuisine amid the lively Downtown Disney area. My family also simply raves about the food at the House of Blues. They recently updated their menus and they really did a swell job with the new dishes. While the setting is not what I would call formal, it is a great place for a celebration. Have a magical vacation and early birthday wishes for the little princess.
