Daniel from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My daughter turns 4 on October 29th but we are going to Disneyland on the 18th while she is still 3. My question is do I still need to purchase her a ticket or is she already considered 4 years old?

Welcome to planDisney, Daniel. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your questions for us.

I’m delighted to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your little one! Because children under 3 years of age do not need theme park tickets for entry to visit Mickey Mouse and his Pals, theme park reservations will also not be needed--- even if it’s shortly before your daughter turns 4. So Hakuna Matata, Daniel. It means “no worries” as you continue planning your upcoming trip in mid-October. Just be sure everyone else in your travel party 3 years of age and older have valid tickets and park reservations for the day(s) you intend to visit the theme parks.

If you have further questions as you plan your trip, Daniel, please write us again. We’re all EARS!

    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
