My daughter turns 5 in Jan. Disney just announced departure dates out of Galveston in Nov 2015(we live in tx) would a trip to the parks or a cruise be our best first Disney experience for her?

    Ahoy, Traci!
I was so excited to hear about the new itineraries departing from Galveston in the Fall of 2015. As a Texas resident, I know you were too!

Choosing between the Disney Parks and a Disney Cruise is a tough decision - my family loves both! As much as we love going to the parks, a Disney Cruise is always our first choice because of all that's included: You'll have a comfortable room that's designed just for families. You'll get to visit beautiful locations without having to rent a car. All of your meals (and most snacks) are included. You'll get amazing entertainment - Broadway-style shows and more. The Youth Clubs are amazing, providing excellent childcare and activities for all ages. I could go on and on about the value of a Disney Cruise Line vacation! (And did I mention the all-you-care-to-enjoy soft-serve ice cream station?)

There's no lack of Disney magic and excellent customer service on a Disney Cruise. If anything, you'll be treated to an even higher level of personalized service than you're accustomed to. We always feel like VIPs from the moment we step on the ship!

If you're interested in cruising with Captain Mickey, I encourage you to take advantage of the sail dates out of Galveston while they're available. There's always time to visit the parks later! The itineraries look amazing, and visit some incredible ports with fantastic Port Adventures.

No matter which you choose, you're in for a magical vacation with your daughter! She's sure to be thrilled  to visit Mickey on land or sea. Please come back and visit if you have any more questions - the Moms Panel would love to help you plan your adventure! - Diane W.
