Hello, my daughter is turning 15 years old and she wants to spend her 15th birthday at Disneyland. My question is, did you have the 20-minute package so that they can take photos inside with her bestie?

    Hello, Yazmin!

Welcome to planDisney! I cannot think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than at the Happiest Place on Earth with a best friend! Currently, private photo sessions at the Disneyland Resort are not available. But I do have some ideas to help capture your magical day!

While you can't book a private session right now, Disney PhotoPass photographers are easy to find in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I've found that they are super fun to work with, and very helpful if you let them know you're celebrating something special and would like to take a couple of extra photos. Make sure you ask them about any extra magical photo options they might have!

You can see a list of possible PhotoPass locations here, but I like to use the Disneyland Mobile App to track them down when I'm in the park. It's pretty easy!

    1. Open the Disneyland Mobile App
    2. Tap the map pin icon (it's at the bottom to the left of the "+" sign)
    3. The map usually opens showing "Attractions", just tap on the downward pointing arrow to change it to "PhotoPass"
I definitely recommend purchasing Disney Genie+ for your birthday trip. Not only will it allow you to use Lightning Lane to minimize your attraction wait times, but it also includes all of your PhotoPass downloads for that day! I bet your daughter and her friend would also have a lot of fun using the Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the Disneyland app. They are included with Genie+ and are a super fun way to pass time in line. Pay close attention, because some of the lenses you can only use in certain places at the parks!

Don't forget that many attractions also take your photo, and those downloads are complimentary starting February 4 through the Disney100 Celebration! A tip for attraction photos—I like to snap a quick picture of the photo preview when I exit the ride, then add the photo using the digital code in the Disneyland app when I have time later.

I truly love taking photos at Disneyland! I hope that you are able to capture all the magic of your day celebrating your daughter, Yazmin. Please send me a note if you have more questions about your visit!

    Keep moving forward!
