My daughter will be turning 3 when we visit in December. I know around park tickets and meals, however what are the rules for the parties like Mickeys very merry Christmas party?

    Hi there, Toby!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending your question to us. I'd be delighted to discuss your upcoming jolly holiday!

Your little princess will be such a fun age when you visit in December. Experiencing the magic of Walt Disney World through a child’s eyes is like unwrapping the best present ever, and during the holiday season, it’s even more enchanting. Regarding Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, if your daughter turns three before attending the party, she will need a ticket, as this festive celebration requires separate admission. I recommend securing tickets as soon as possible since most evenings sell out in advance.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is my favorite seasonal offering at Magic Kingdom Park, and I've enjoyed several recent parties. I'll share some tips to make the event even more special for your family.

*Your event ticket admits you into Magic Kingdom Park starting at 4 PM, and entry queues are busy between 3:30 and 4:30. I like to arrive around 5 once the first flurry of guests has settled in.

*While it's not a costumed event like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, many guests like to deck themselves in Christmas attire. My planDisney pals and I like to don matching holiday shirts and mouse ears.

*For me, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade is the highlight of the party. Typically, two parades are performed each evening, and the second one is usually less crowded. Watch from Main Street U.S.A. for the most festive atmosphere, or Frontierland for the least packed viewing area.

*Exclusive merchandise, food, and beverages will be available during the party. As the holiday season approaches, follow the Disney Parks Blog for more details, and make a list of your must-try treats.

*It would be impossible to experience all the party entertainment, dance parties, and character greetings in one night. Review the guide map before arriving and begin the party with your highest-priority activities.

*Make sure you have space in your bag to take home party goodies. If you can't eat all the cookies in one night, you'll want to bring them back to enjoy the rest of your trip; they're like a gift that keeps giving!

Best wishes for a magical holiday, Toby, and if there is anything else we at planDisney can do before you go, please reach out again. We'd love to help make your Christmas wishes come true!
