Hi Alicia,
How wonderful to be taking your daughter to Walt Disney World for her birthday! My family has celebrated many birthdays at Walt Disney World, and they are always magical. Even with nothing extra added, simply being at Walt Disney World makes the day special!
My first recommendation is that you get a "Happy Birthday" button for your daughter. These are available free of charge at Guest Relations at any Disney theme park and at other locations throughout Walt Disney World. You can have her name written on the button, and throughout the day it is fantastic to hear other cast members and guests alike wishing your special girl a happy birthday. Once when my daughter was wearing a happy birthday button, our server at
The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom surprised her with a huge cupcake after her lunch. The smile on my daughter's face was unforgettable! While no extra magic is guaranteed, you never know when a little extra pixie dust will be sprinkled on her day. Likewise, when you make dining or resort reservations, ask the cast member to note your celebration on the reservation. Again, nothing is guaranteed; however, extra magical surprises have been known to happen!
If you would like to arrange a special gift for your daughter, check out
Disney Floral and Gifts. Cast members there will work with you to create the perfect present for your daughter. You can choose from plush animals, balloons, snacks, and so much more! Once you have perused their website, I suggest that you call them at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438) to work with a Magic Maker to customize your gift.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Alicia! Have a wonderful time planning this magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
