Hi Moms! My daughter is turning 12 two days after we go to walt disney world and we would love to celebrate there but we are having trouble finding something appropriate for her age. Any ideas?

    Hello Robyn!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question. While any day at the Walt Disney World Resort is special, celebrating a birthday can make it extra special! Here are just a few ideas for celebrating your princess.

    • Plan a meal at a dining venue that is hosted by one of her favorite characters. Does she enjoy princesses? I suggest Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. If Winnie the Pooh and friends are more to her liking, nothing can compare to The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey and the gang can be found at Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort or during breakfast at the Tusker House Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For a more elegant dining celebration I suggest California Grill atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From the 15th floor you will enjoy gourmet dining and amazing views.
    • Have a customized cake delivered during your celebration meal. The bakers at the Resort are truly confectionary artists. These masterpieces are also delicious!
    • Celebrate the day with an in-room celebration. Imagine her surprise when she finds that fun gifts have been delivered to your guest room especially for her!
    • For the ultimate in celebrations, I recommend a specialty cruise. My family’s favorite is the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth cruise. The magic makers at Disney can even decorate the boat for the occasion.

I hope this gives you some ideas for celebrating your daughter’s special day.  See ya real soon!
