Welcome to planDisney, Alicia!
What a magical age for your daughter to visit Walt Disney World Resort! From catching that first glimpse of
Cinderella Castle, to enjoying that first lick of a Dole Whip, to taking that first ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, there's nothing like experiencing the magic through the eyes of your little one.
Alicia, Mouseketeers under the age of 3 are considered "Guests of Mickey" and, therefore, don't need a theme park ticket. However, since your daughter will be turning 3 the day you visit the park, she'll be required to have a ticket for kids aged 3-9. These are slightly cheaper than adult tickets. Disney doesn't ask for proof of age. This is done on an honor-based system. However, the policy is that your daughter will need a ticket.
I hope that's clarifying, Alicia.
I trust your family will have a fantastic time. Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite park for little ones. Your Mouseketeer will adore the many kid-friendly attractions, like
"it's a small world," Prince Charming Regal Carrousel,
Dumbo the Flying Elephant,
Jungle Cruise,
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid,
Mad Tea Party,
Enchanted Tales with Belle,
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and
Peter Pan's Flight. Oh, and don't miss the
Festival of Fantasy Parade! Here's a tip: Watch it in Frontierland. It's a lot less crowded and you won't have to wait as long for the parade.
Have a great trip, Alicia. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
