My Daughter is turning 1 in May. We would love a birthday party at Disney; we want something more private than a Character meal. What other options do we have?

    Hello, Samantha!

Woo Hoo!  It is SO MAGICAL to celebrate a birthday at Walt Disney World!  I know you all are going to have an unforgettable time!

I have two ideas as you plan your daughter's one-year-old birthday.  One idea is more economical than the other, but I KNOW both ideas are so much fun!

My family celebrated my daughter's one-year-old birthday several years ago at Magic Kingdom.  What we did was purchase an over-sized cupcake at Main Street Confectionery right on Main Street USA.  We then had our own private birthday party right in front of Cinderella Castle!  We gave our daughter the Minnie Mouse inspired cupcake, and she ate until she was covered in icing and crumbs!  We also asked the PhotoPass photographers to capture this special moment for our family!

If you want to go ALL OUT, I would highly recommend making reservations at Disney Princess Tea Party located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  This experience is definitely different from a traditional Disney character meal. This incredible tea party is very interactive filled with fun stories, lively music, and delicious finger food!

If you have other questions, please let us know!  Oh, and please tell your daughter Happy Birthday!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
