Hello, Celine Mae! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. Bringing your little one to the Disneyland Resort is so much fun! Experiencing the joy and wonder through their eyes is so rewarding as a parent.
If you are visiting for several consecutive days this July and your daughter happens to turn 3 years old during your multi-day visit, the Disneyland Resort considers your child to be the age they were when they first arrived at the Disneyland Resort. So, you would not need to purchase a ticket for your child if they were under 3 years old at the beginning of that visit. If you are visiting for just the one day on July 5th or anytime after, then your child would require a
theme park ticket as she would be 3 years old at that time.
Getting your complimentary
birthday button is easy as pie (or birthday cake)! Simply stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park or Guest Services at Disney California Adventure Park and they will be more than happy to provide you with a button. Also, you might consider commemorating the trip with a special pair of Mickey ears! They are sold at various places throughout the parks, but I particularly love the
Mad Hatter locations. They can also embroider your daughter's name on the back for that special touch.
Wishing your daughter an early happy birthday and I hope you both have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
