My daughter is turning 4 the first day we go to the Magic Kingdom? Any suggestions on great things to do to make this birthday "magical"?

Hi, Kristie!  What better way for a princess to celebrate her birthday than going to the Magic Kingdom!  We took my daughter on her 4th birthday, and she got to meet her favorite princess - Sleeping Beauty!   My daughter is 9 now, and she still talks about that magical birthday moment.

Start off by picking up a free Happy Birthday button at guest services.  Everyone will be sure to send their birthday wishes her way!   Instead of bringing an autograph book, bring along a birthday card for the characters to sign.   This will be a nice souvenir for her to keep to remind her of her Disney birthday.

Before you leave home, pack some birthday decorations for your room.   While she is sleeping, you can decorate.   Her birthday fun can start the minute she wakes up!   Maybe bring along a crown that she can wear, and tell her the crown gives her powers to pick the first attraction of the day when you enter the Magic Kingdom.

If you have any table service meals planned, let the cast member know you are celebrating a birthday when you check in for your meal.  They will sometimes bring a sweet birthday treat!   If you want a cake, you can purchase one at any sit-down restaurant, just let your server know.    My favorite restaurant for a birthday celebration in the Magic Kingdom is Crystal Palace where you will dine with Pooh and his friends.

I hope your princess has a magical 4th birthday in WDW!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
