My daughter is 9 and will be turning 10 around the time we are planning to visit. Is there a difference in park ticket prices and cost of dining plans after she turns 10? How strict are they if she has her birthday mid trip? Thanks so much!!

Hi, Lisa!    What a great way to spend a birthday - with Mickey Mouse in Walt Disney World!  Your princess must be so excited.

Once a child reaches age 10, they are considered an adult and must pay the adult prices for tickets and Disney Dining Plans.   However, if your daughter is 9 when you arrive and has a birthday during your stay, she "remains 9" throughout the vacation, so you do not need to upgrade during your trip.

Just in case you have other children, kids 3 - 9 qualify for the child ticket, and kids under 3 are admitted free.  Let me be the first to wish your daughter a Happy Birthday!
