My daughter will turn 3 while we are visiting Disney World. We plan to buy 7 day tickets and her birthday will fall in the middle of the 7 days. Is it true that she does not need a ticket for any of our trip? Do I need to “register” her somehow?

    Hi Karen!

There's no better place to celebrate than at the "Most Magical Place on Earth," so I'm so happy to help you plan your daughter's magical birthday vacation! My youngest son turned 3 years old while we were visiting Walt Disney World Resort and it was such a special visit. Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday celebration button for your little princess so Cast Members and other Guests can join in the party. The Dapper Dans even sang my son a special birthday song when they noticed his button!

Guests who are 2 years old and under are special Guests of Mickey Mouse and receive complimentary admission to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Plus, Guests don't age during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so your daughter's age at the beginning of your vacation will be used for her age for the duration of your trip for ticketing purposes. This means that since your daughter will be 2 years old when your trip starts, she won't need a theme park ticket for your vacation. So while you will add her to your Disney Resort hotel reservation, you do not need to bring her identification or birth date documentation with you to the theme park. Simply let Cast Members know about your daughter's age and she will be able to enter the park and enjoy your FastPass+ reservations with you!

Since no birthday party is complete without a cake, be sure to check out the options for ordering a birthday cake for your daughter. Also, you should definitely consider adding Memory Maker to your vacation so you can capture and save all of the magical moments you have as a family!
