A royal welcome to you, Ruby! I'm delighted to hear about your plans to visit Disneyland Resort for your daughter's fifth birthday! There is simply nothing better than seeing the magic through your little one's eyes, especially on such a special occasion as her birthday.
Let me share some of my favorite recommendations for a
birthday celebration worthy of royalty. First, I suggest that you pick up a complimentary celebration button to announce the news about your daughter's special birthday celebration with Cast Members and Guests, alike! You can find these buttons at any of the three Disneyland Resort hotels or at select
Guest Relations locations across the theme parks. You never know, but these buttons seem to attract a little bit of pixie dust wherever you go!
Beloved Disney Princesses can be found at a number of places around Disneyland Park, but you may be most likely to have some dedicated meet-and-greet time at the
Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire. You can meet up to three different Princesses there, and I know they would love to share their heartfelt wishes for the birthday girl! Just across the courtyard, you can find
Storytelling at the Royal Theater, where the legends of
Tangled and
Beauty and the Beast come to life in a stage performance! And recently, the
Disney Parks Blog announced that Guests can now meet Ariel from the new live-action "The Little Mermaid" film near the "it's a small world" promenade in Fantasyland! If your daughter wishes to meet the sisters of Arendelle,
Anna & Elsa, you can find them in the Animation Building in Disney California Adventure Park. The best recommendation I have for searching for your preferred Princess character greeting is to use the official
Disneyland mobile app and toggle to "Characters" near the top of the map feature. You can see their locations on the map, or switch to the list view to find characters by name, along with their scheduled greeting times throughout the day of your visit.
Lastly, Ruby, if you are looking for the most magnificent of royal encounters, I recommend booking the
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. This three-course meal includes dedicated time with several Princess friends and a keepsake gift for children to commemorate their magical visit. We recently took my daughter for her birthday, and we were able to spend time with Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Belle! This is such a unique experience and reservations can fill up quickly, so I suggest you make your dining reservation up to 60 days in advance and plan for your breakfast adventure to last about two hours on the day of your visit.
I hope you and your Tiny Dreamer have the best time together at 'The Happiest Place on Earth,' and that all her dreams come true! If we can help with any more suggestions, please don't hesitate to call on us again, here at

Wishing you enchanted memories,
