Hello Ryan!
Welcome to planDisney! Sorry for the delay in responding but we have been busy as Santa's elves helping guests. I'm glad I can answer your question as my last quest in
Disneyland Resort was to find a
Spider-Bot Interactive Remote Control Bot from Avengers Campus for my son!
To provide you with the answer from the true expert, I asked my son to help me answer your question! My son told me that you should first purposely self-destruct the Spider-Bot by pressing the corresponding button on the controller. It's the circular button right in the middle of the remote. Then, you should turn the Spider-bot
off and then on via the switch on the bottom of the main body. You should be able to press the new Captain Marvel Spider-Bot Tactical Upgrade onto the Spider-Bot with no issue. Make sure you are aligning the 6 golden bolts to the holes in the main shell and pushing down firmly until you hear a click. If it continues to be an issue I would consider reaching out via email to Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com or call (877) 560-6477.
I had an issue with the first Spider-Bot I purchased and since I was
within 30 days of purchase and had a receipt I was able to get a new one mailed to me! They let us keep the old Spider-Bot which we now keep on display while the second is played with. I was nowhere near Disneyland Resort as I live on the East Coast and I loved how helpful they were with helping me fix my son's birthday present.
I hope this helps and if you have any more questions
let me know directly as my son and I are ready to help!
Happy playing!
