Hi there, Jennifer!
I'm so happy you found us here at planDisney! It will likely be a collaborative effort to get all of your vacation planning questions answered.. and working together is what we do best! Both
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and
Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter are great places to stay at Walt Disney World Resort. I personally don't think there is a better way to start a Walt Disney World morning than with beignets from
Scat Cat's Club! Once those satisfy that morning "rumbly in my tumbly," anything is possible!
Jennifer, these two resorts often do share buses. These buses stop at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter first, followed by Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside. There is one bus stop located within the French Quarter section of the resort, which you can find on
this map. The Riverside section of the resort is larger and utilizes four different bus stops. The buses stop at the West Depot first, followed by the North Depot, then the East Depot, and lastly, the South Depot. You can help pinpoint the bus stop locations on
this map.
Guests of these two resorts can also utilize
Walt Disney World Water Transportation to ride over to
Disney Springs. Your daughter and her friend will have a blast shopping, dining and snacking their way around Disney Springs! I love to sit down for a waterfront meal at
The BOATHOUSE® Restaurant, home to some of the freshest, most delicious seafood in all of Walt Disney World. Top it off with a uniquely crafted cupcake from
Sprinkles (especially from the cupcake vending machine) and it is a fairytale night!
Jennifer, I do hope this helps make your planning a breeze! I'm always here and more than happy to answer any additional questions that arise before your daughter's trip!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
