Ahoy Ingrid, and welcome aboard planDisney! How exciting that you're celebrating your daughter's birthday on board the
Disney Treasure! That is sure to be one epic birthday! You've come to the right place because I have some ideas for making her birthday special.
Yes, you absolutely can arrange to have the dining room crew sing to her on the day of your choosing. First, you'll want to note the birthday on your reservation. You can do this in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Once you open your reservation, scroll down to "NEXT STEPS," and choose "View All." Then, scroll down to "Cruise Options," and select "Special Requests and/or Services." From there, choose "Celebrations," change the Guest name to your daughter by activating the drop-down by your name that says "Select Other Guest." Then, select your daughter and put a check by "Birthday."
Whenever my family has celebrated a birthday on board, my server has discretely asked me on the first night when we'd like to celebrate. If he or she doesn't, I will mention it to them. Then, on the night we've chosen to celebrate, they've brought out a special birthday dessert and many crew members have joined us in singing, "Happy Birthday." Please keep in mind this is an amenity at Disney Cruise Line's discretion, and things are always subject to change. That being said, my family has celebrated many birthdays on board a Disney ship, and our experience has been fairly consistent.
I have a few other ideas to help you celebrate as well. Stop by Guest Services once you board the ship to pick up a cute Happy Birthday button for your daughter to wear. You can also surprise her by ordering some fun birthday decorations or other lovely gifts for your room through
Onboard Gifts. Orders can be placed up to three days before you sail, and she'll be able to take them home as a fun souvenir.
Ingrid, I hope your daughter has a magical birthday and that your cruise is fantastic! Please visit us again with any other planning questions.
Let your dreams guide you!
