Boo to you, Kelsie!
Where the air is still with the chill of fall, he's the one that leads them all. That's right, the Headless Horseman is once again leading the charge up Main Street, U.S.A., during
Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Other frightfully fun entertainment offered during this special ticket event include
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. In the words of my trick-or-treat bag from last year's party, "Let's boo this!"
Congrats on reserving your spot at
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. Forget the tricks, you and your daughter are going to enjoy all the treats like chocolate-dipped strawberries, pumpkin cupcakes, and seasonal fruits. My family recently enjoyed our first Magic Kingdom Park dessert party and my kids still talk about the "fancy cider." I told them the cider in Magic Kingdom Park is extra special because the bubbles come from Tinker Bell's pixie dust.
Let's talk timing, Kelsie. Weather permitting, Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular begins at 10:15 p.m. on Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. Dessert party check-in begins at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant at 8:45 p.m. Prior to the fireworks, you will be escorted to a fireworks viewing area in the Plaza Garden. You will not have access to the fireworks viewing area during the 9:15 p.m. Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade, though you'll most likely be able to hear the spooktacular soundtrack as you enjoy your ghoulish goodies. I also have Cast Member confirmation that dessert party Guests have access to the Plaza Garden for fireworks viewing only, which means you'll need to transition to a nearby spot to enjoy Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and/or the 11:15 p.m. Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade. In my experience, the later parade and showtimes have the lowest crowds. The Sanderson Sisters even perform at midnight - I guess they're not afraid of turning into pumpkins!
Since you'll be spending a couple of your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party hours being wined and dined, Kelsie, I recommend entering Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00 p.m. to get a head start on experiencing attractions. Be in line by 7:00 p.m. for any must-have character meet and greets and locate the green cameras on your Event Guide Map to find Disney PhotoPass photographers with
Magic Shots and Halloween props.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with such a thoughtful question, Kelsie. Enjoy your mother/daughter time next month and please tell the Headless Horseman I said, "Hi!"
Choose magic,
Jennifer
