Hi! My daughter is thinking about a gender reveal during our visit in June. Is it possible to do it at the Crystal Palace? We are already planning a Winnie the Pooh baby shower in July.

Hi there, Kimberly, and welcome to planDisney!

First things first, congratulations! Walt Disney World is a magical place to celebrate a new arrival, and I'm honored to help you plan a gender reveal for your family. So let's wave that magic wand and talk about your options!

While there's no official way to plan a gender reveal at Disney World, there are lots of ways to sprinkle some pixie dust on this special occasion! I love that you're considering The Crystal Palace for the big reveal. Winnie the Pooh is my daughter's favorite Disney character, so this location holds an extra special place in my heart. With its gorgeous greenhouse vibes and enchanting views of Cinderella Castle, it's the perfect place for a magical, memorable moment!

One option is to bring two items to the restaurant: one that represents a boy and one that represents a girl. Think Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plushes, or Mickey ear hats embroidered with "It's a Boy!" and "It's a Girl!" (you can get them customized at Curtain Call Collectibles in Magic Kingdom Park). When you check in at the restaurant, ask a Disney Cast Member if a character can present your daughter with the appropriate item during your meal. There's no guarantee they'll be able to accommodate you, but in my experience, Cast Members are always happy to make magic when they can!

Kimberly, I know that this is a really important moment, so I understand if you don't want to leave anything to chance! Another option is to order a customized cake from Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs. Make it pink! Make it blue! Either way, you're in for a classic cake-cutting reveal! I confirmed with a helpful Disney Cast Member that you can bring the cake to your reservation at The Crystal Palace. However, you'll need to pick it up at Amorette's Patisserie yourself since they don't deliver to the restaurant. To place your order, click here and scroll to the bottom of the page, where you'll find the phone number for Amorette's.

Now, I have one more suggestion in case you're looking for something a little splashier. Disney offers Custom Celebrations & Gatherings for all types of occasions, from birthdays and anniversaries to gender reveals. This could be a good option if you have a large group or if you just have something bigger in mind!

I hope this information is helpful, Kimberly! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

Wishing you and your family all the best,

    Allison
