My daughter,7, and I are taking our second girls only trip to disney this September and I'm having trouble choosing a resort. We stayed at AOA. Last year. Have a royal room at PO reserved but thinking about switching to AKL.I've heard PO is a huge resort

    Hi Jennifer!

I would recommend keeping your Royal Guest Room reservation at Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.  You and your daughter are going to love the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Resort-Riverside! I had the opportunity to see one in November of 2012 and it was simply amazing! The decor was incredible. I could sit and watch the fireworks in the headboards for hours. Yes, the Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a large resort, but the Royal Guest Rooms are located in the Magnolia Bend section of Port Orleans Resort-Riverside in Oak Manor (Building 90) and Parterre Place (Building 95). These two buildings are very close to the lobby, food court, and Disney bus transportation. AlI you have to do is walk over a bridge and you are there. The main swimming pool is a little farther away, but it is still nearby within walking distance. I love Animal Kingdom Lodge but it is definitely farther away from all of the parks expect for the Animal Kingdom Park and it will cost more per night because it is a Deluxe Resort.

I hope that you have a truly magical time with your daughter on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
