    My daughter and I our taking our first cruise in May 2016. We are looking forward to everything Disney has to offer and can't wait for our vacation. We wanted to participate in the 5K at Castaway Cay, is there an age limit for this fun run? Thanks

    I'm thrilled to hear you'll be sailing for the first time with Disney Cruise Line next May! As Tom Petty once said, "The waiting is the hardest part..."! I know it doesn't feel like it, but your sail date will be here before you know it. The anticipation and planning before a Disney Cruise is a lot of fun, and I'm glad you're thinking ahead!

    The Castaway Cay 5K is a special event during select Disney Cruise itineraries, and is held on Disney's own private island! Last year, a new finishers medal was designed for this fun race, and it's awesome. I'm a proud owner of one, and hope to earn another one soon!

    At this time (but subject to change), the age limit for the Castaway Cay 5K is ten and up. In the past, younger runners have been allowed to take part, but I can't guarantee that's still the norm. I'm not sure of your daughter's age, but hopefully she will be able to take part! What a great way to spend time together, all while taking in the beauty of the gorgeous island.
